Get To Know Our Newest Wine: Sh!tshow Reserve

We've introduced a new wine: Sh!tshow Reserve. But what exactly is Sh!tshow Reserve? Let's start with what makes a wine "reserve." Is it made from rare grapes? Is it blessed by the wine gods? Honestly, it's just a fancy term for "this wine was aged longer". The aging process can take place in a number of ways, including in oak barrels or in bottles. The goal of aging wine is to improve its flavor, aroma, and overall quality.

One of the most important factors in making a reserve wine is grape variety. Certain grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, are known for their aging potential and are often used to make reserve wines. Our reserve is made from Cabernet Sauvignon.

Additionally, the winemaking techniques used to produce the wine can also play a role. For example, a wine that has been fermented and aged in oak barrels is generally a characteristic of a reserve wine. Sh!tshow Reserve was aged an additional 10 months in New American Oak Barrel.

When it comes to tasting reserve wines, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, reserve wines are typically more complex and nuanced than non-reserve wines. They will have a greater depth of flavor, with a variety of different aromas and tastes that develop over time.

This is why we refer to Sh!tshow Reserve as “Sh!tshow Red, but older and wiser”. The reserve is our fan favorite red wine, but aged longer, resulting in a wine with more complexity, depth, and character. Check out Sh!tshow Reserve if you’re looking to stick to what you know but want a more sophisticated wine experience. Or, if you just want to get to get to know your favorite wine in a new way.
